AHH, IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GOING TO DIE! How else could we start a list filled with cute little animals doing cute little things? We all know that life can get stressful, so we gathered a bunch of pictures that we were sure would bring everyone a smile. We also included a few tiny puppies, several cats with their tongues sticking out, and even a pair of cuddly lovebirds! Seriously, this compilation will make for the best pick-me-up session ever. Putting it together made our day the best in a while, so we're confident it'll make yours too.
A Very Puggy Christmas
Say what you want about pugs, but their quirky faces and personalities instantly bring a smile to everyone's lips. Sure, you can hear them coming from a block away because of how loud their breathing is, and it may not be a great idea to keep inbreeding them, but we can at least enjoy the ones we have, especially when they're dressed like a tiny Christmas tree.
We put this one first because we don't think there's a picture better at lifting our moods than this one. Save it to your phone and look at it whenever you feel down!
A Confident Barn Owl
Most people wouldn't label owls as cute, but we think they're adorable. Barn owls, in particular, make us want to squish them, although we'd probably lose an eye if we tried it. Their big black eyes are just so beautiful... The best part is that they tend to live in barns or abandoned buildings, so many are used to humans. A few people even keep them as pets!
Look at how they dressed this little barn owl up! Can you imagine how soft their feathers must be? Someday we'll get a barn and turn it into an owl sanctuary.
The Branch Is Almost Too Big
Oh god, we're about to hyperventilate! Some of these pics are too much to handle and make us go into literal cuteness overload. It's like our heart starts beating, and we get this uncontrollable urge to scream. We know we sound crazy, but look at this tiny wiener carrying a stick! It's killing us. He's barely bigger than the branch he has in his mouth.
Please take a moment to breathe and bask in his cuteness. If you were having a bad day, we're sure it got a thousand times better. Still, there's much more to see.
He Thinks He's a Lion
People who work at animal sanctuaries are heroes in our eyes. They dedicate their lives to caring for creatures that would have otherwise perished and giving them a chance to have a full life, even if they can't be out in the wild. Why can't they? Well, if they were raised by humans, they might lack some skills they need to survive. Or they might be tigers who like to pretend they're lions.
HE PUT A PLASTIC RING SO IT WOULD LOOK LIKE A MANE! If we could shout any louder, we would because it's just too adorable. This picture should be shared with everyone.
They Just Wanted to Help
They say that having a dog is a lot like having a kid. They depend on you entirely, can't be left alone, and need constant care and attention. On the positive side, they'll give you love and affection, so having one isn't all that bad. They are, in essence, very cute freeloaders. However, in both cases, you could train them to help around the house when they're old enough.
Look at this doggo helping out by ironing their owner's shirts! There's not much it can do with an unplugged appliance, but it would be a hazard if it were hot.
Cows Can Be Cute Too
We love animal-based products as much as the next guy, but we have to admit vegans have a point, especially with the meat thing. Admittedly, every time we see a cow, we get this tiny feeling of regret inside. We don't think we'll manage to swear off ice cream altogether, but it's still important to feel grateful for what these creatures give us, which includes love and cuddles.
Look at this little fellow. It's so trusting of humans! We never thought a cow would melt our hearts, but they're much cuter than they seem out in the open.
You Can Do It!
Going to the gym requires a lot of motivation. After all, you won't see any gains unless you're fully committed. Some people never try because they think they're too skinny or too overweight to reach their goals, but that's not true. See? This tiny puppy didn't let the weight's size deter him and boldly grabbed onto that bar. With that attitude, he's sure to become strong enough to lift it.
Fortunately, he had spotters. That's crucial when it comes to using weights. They're a buddy that helps motivate you to work out and keeps you from getting hurt.
Puppies Make Everything Better
Do you remember how —back when people didn't work from home— offices had these motivational posters that featured cute puppies cheering everyone on? Maybe everyone who works remotely should adopt this because we, for once, would feel a lot happier if we had a cute puppy to stare at. Perhaps we can all be satisfied just staring at this little guy's toe beans for a while.
It's so cute we might cry! Besides, if we close our eyes, we can almost feel how soft its fur is and how tiny and warm its body is.
A Smiley Amphibian to Brighten Your Day
Did you know that our brains are wired to find specific characteristics cute? One of them is big round eyes. Sure, cats and dogs are the well-known favorites in the "cutest creatures with large eyes" contest, but some unlikely species might also surprise us with their adorableness. Take reptiles or amphibians, for example. We didn't think they looked very huggable, but then we saw this picture and changed our minds.
Aw, what a beautiful smile this tiny frog has. Don't you want to pinch their little cheeks? Even if we're projecting, and they're not really showing happiness, they still look adorable.
When the World Gives You Cuteness
Picture this: you're waiting at the station to take the train home after a long day. Nothing has worked out like it was supposed to at work. You arrived late, messed up a presentation, had to redo a bunch of stuff, and although you've already left the office, you're still feeling down. Then, suddenly, you get an Airdrop notification from someone you don't know. You open the file and see... this.
Your crappy day has turned into a good one because now you have a picture of a Pomeranian in sunglasses. If you want to see more dogs in clothes, stick with us.
Groove Like a Polar Bear
It's a common misconception that you have to be good in order to dance, but no. The only thing you need is to put your heart and soul into it. It doesn't matter if you have no rhythm. As long as you feel it, you can DANCE! Didn't Happy Feet teach you anything? Go ahead and express yourself. After all, even polar bears can get into the groove.
Just shake your hips a little bit like this and move your hands a tiny bit like that. Yeah, there you have it, get into the rhythm and move those feet!
It Only Takes a Smile
Here's something to remember: we have much more power over other people's lives than we think. What do we mean by this? One tiny action on your part might make a big difference for someone else. For example, the other day, we were walking down the street when a random person smiled at us, and not creepily at all! We spent the rest of the day feeling like this confident lioness.
Doesn't she look so proud of herself? Seeing someone smiling makes you feel good about yourself and the world around you. Perhaps we should do it more often.
Remembering the Good Ol' Days
Do you know what's really adorable? More than a very fluffy cat or a tiny dog wearing clothes? A CHILD! Yes, that was a pop culture reference, and if you got it, we salute you for spending that much time online and still being sane. But we digress... There's only one thing cuter than a fluffy, friendly creature: a TINY fluffy, friendly creature. Yeah, baby animals always lift people's moods.
Especially when they're pictured walking alongside their mamas! This made us remember the days when our moms would pick us up from pre-school, and we'd walk home hand in hand.
Too Sweet for Candy
Dogs are called humanity's best friends for a reason. That reason is: they're adorable. There's no animal more affectionate and protective of people than them. Yeah, cat lovers, we said what we said. Felines are cute and can be very sweet, but they're nowhere near as devoted to their owners as their canine counterparts are. That's why it's essential to take care of them and not let them eat chocolate!
Doggos are already too sweet, so eating chocolate would send them into a sugar overload! We're kidding, there's a compound in the stuff that's pretty toxic to them.
He Deserves All the Praise
It's not like girls don't like to be complimented; it's just that it can make them suspicious of your intentions. However, do you know who loves to be told good things about them? Boys, and they never get compliments. If you were to make a nice comment about a man, you'd probably make their day. The best part? They'll look so cute, all bashful, just like this kitty.
Who wouldn't smile and be satisfied when someone compliments them? We're sure this boy deserved the praise and those waffles too. We'd give him all the treats.
Two Unlikely Besties
Foxes hit peak popularity in 2013 when everyone was asking, "What does the fox say?" but we're here to bring them back because they're so pretty. Unfortunately, most of them are wild, so it's not a good idea to come near them. However, human households may take them in if they're hurt or left behind. That happened in this case, and it became best friends with its humans' doggy!
Who doesn't wish they had a friend that got that excited to be around us? This picture makes us feel so full inside we feel like crying.
The Shy Pangolin
Is it wrong to say an animal doesn't need to be fluffy to be considered cute? The way we see it, it's much like what happens with humans. There's an idea of what an attractive person should look like, but that doesn't mean anyone who doesn't fit those standards isn't valid in their own way. Why can't a scaly creature with long nails like the Pangolin be considered adorable too?
Have you seen how shy and cute they are? Now that we think of it, our favorite Pokémon was Sandslash, so perhaps we can't be objective regarding pangolins.
Star-Crossed Species
They say cats and dogs can't get along, yet every day, thousands of households all around the globe prove otherwise. The truth is, we could learn a few things from them because if humans weren't so hung up about who's an ally and who's an enemy, Romeo and Juliet wouldn't have had to die. See? If we were more like cats and dogs, not even our species being enemies would've mattered.
These friends meet up to kiss each other every single day, even though the world expects them to be at each other's throats. Isn't that so inspiring?
The Best Airline There Is
There's nothing we love more than seeing little dogs dressed in human clothes doing human jobs. A Dalmatian with a firefighter's hat? GIVE ME! A Chihuahua in a mariachi costume? WE NEED IT! Fortunately, the Internet is a beautiful place that always provides us with what we need. Don't worry; our mothers taught us to share, so here you go. You can bask in this little wiener dog's cuteness too.
HE'S IN A PILOT COSTUME. AT AN AIRPORT. HE EVEN HAS HIS OWN CARRY-ON BAG. Air travel would be so much more pleasant if there were dogs on every flight.
This Dog Has an Emotional Support Kitten
Pets, like humans, can get anxious. Whenever we feel that familiar squeeze in our chests, we usually hug a dog, but what do they do? Some owners get them a toy or a blanket, but others get them their own emotional support companion. The story of how this pup got theirs might be one of the sweetest we've ever heard. Her humans realized she needed a companion, so they made a plan.
They took her to a shelter and let her see if she liked any of the kittens there. It was a risk, but she did, and they became best friends.
A Pocket for Your Pupper
Puppies are a handful. They need constant attention, and if you slip for one second, say goodbye to your new sneakers. Seriously, ask any pet owner, and they'll tell you that raising an infant dog is a full-time job. That's why, if you need to leave the house for something, you better take it with you. The bright side is that some cars come with a built-in puppy pocket.
They won't fit in that hole much longer because they grow so fast. It can be sad to realize that phase is over, but you'll still have an adorable adult companion.
Happy Fluff Has a Full Belly
Does buying a pint of fancy ice cream make your soul sing? Do you struggle to find people to go restaurant-hopping with you because you avoid the well-known classics? Is your love language making bread? Then you might be a foodie. We get it; not everybody understands the magic of eating good food or trying something you've never had before. But at least you can relate to this cat.
Feed the loaf, and it'll smile at you. Just look at that happy fluff! There are no thoughts in its head except for how good it feels to have a full belly.
One Cute Birthday Doggo
What do you do for your pet's birthdays? Do you buy them a cake? Or perhaps give them some extra treats? Oh, we know, you could take them out to get a "puppuccino." Then again, it all depends on what their personality is like. Maybe they'd rather stay home with their favorite humans and get some extra love. There's nothing wrong with a puppy that wants to party, though.
Yeah, doggy, you rock that party hat! This picture is so cute that whoever took it should be given a medal. It's like he knows it's a special day.
Peekaboo!
Are you feeling down and need some advice? We'll tell you a not-so-secret way of lifting your spirits: look for funny animal video compilations online. Then again, you could also keep scrolling down this list since you're bound to find something that makes you laugh. Are you skeptical? Well, here's a picture of a mama polar bear desperately looking for her cub, which is... on her butt.
In our minds, the cub did it on purpose to play a prank on their mom. After all, how many of us hid between the clothing racks at the store to scare our parents?
Everybody's Best Friend the Capybara
Recently, an unlikely hero took the Internet by storm. It was the capybara that became the star of a viral video featuring a very catchy jingle. These giant rodents are native to South America, and although they may not seem all that cuddly to you, they are the animal kingdom's most chill neighbor. You see, for some reason, they get along with many different species. Don't believe us?
We love these square-faced oversized hamsters, not entirely because of their looks. It takes a sweet nature to get along with monkeys and crocodiles at the same time.
Just a Pair of Lovebirds
Did you know 'lovebirds" are an actual species of bird that exists? They were named that way because they form monogamous bonds, which means they choose one mate and stick with it forever! Isn't that adorable? Somehow, they made their way into pet stores. However, if you want them, you can't just get one; you need to get two. Are you really going to deny them nights like these?
They wouldn't be lovebirds if they couldn't have nice little dates in the candlelight. Do you think they lady-and-the-tramped a seed? Seeing their satisfied faces makes us sing with delight.
The Fluffiest of Fluff Balls
Did you know that dog breeds were all created to serve different purposes? Dachshunds were meant to scent and flush out badgers from their dens. That's why they're long and brave! On the other hand, Alaskan Malamutes were bred to haul sleighs and heavy loads, so they needed to be strong and have endurance. They also needed to be giant fluff balls. Wait, you've never seen a malamute puppy? Here you go.
We'd brave the lowest temperatures just to be able to pet a fluff ball like that. If you managed to get them still, you could probably use them as pillows.
There Are Black Holes on Earth Too
Sometimes we wonder if dogs can understand anything about the universe. Would they freak out if we told them we all lived on a rock floating in the middle of vast, infinite space? Maybe they wouldn't care. After all, the only things that matter to them are being warm, safe, and well-fed. Mostly that last one because some resemble black holes and not of the space kind.
They're the kind of black hole that instantly absorbs any food that falls to the floor. They may get in trouble, but you can't say no to those adorable fluff balls.
Some Dogs Walk, Some Swim
Earth is so rich that it has cute animals in every environment. We're most familiar with those on land, but the planet's waters hold many more adorable creatures that often go unappreciated. However, we're all about finding cuteness in the most unexpected places possible, and today, we found it in this picture of two beings from vastly different worlds meeting for the first time and becoming friends.
Aren't they adorable? We love how they referred to seals as "water dogs." Well, their babies are also called "pups," so we guess there was already a connection there.
She's a Proud Collector
Everyone has a passion of their own. Some people like to cook, while others like to paint or draw. However, the list of hobbies is infinite, and as long as you love it, it's valid. Well, except if you're a serial killer like Dexter and enjoy murdering people... Look, here's an activity you could try! Why not collect rocks like this pretty lady cat? She's showing them off so excitedly.
That face is enough to distract anyone from even the most unsettling thoughts, like the fact that some people enjoy murdering. Oops, we brought it up again.
Thanks Grandma
Thinking about our grandmas warms our hearts. They always had some candy or present to give us, but their unwavering faith in us was the most important gift they ever bestowed; that and all those knit sweaters we have stuffed in a closet somewhere. We still made sure to bring them out every time we saw her because it made her feel appreciated. However, we never looked as cute as this raccoon in them.
He looks so confused by what's happening, but it's still so cute. Look at his little face, and those little whiskers, and the hands! Don't you just love raccoons?
The Best Thing You'll See All Day
And now, the one you've all been waiting for. The single most adorable picture. The one we've been teasing about all this time. We've been building it up for a while, and you know what? We're not scared it won't live up to the hype because it will surely be worth having stuck around. The moment has come to present what we think was the cutest animal on the list.
How can your heart not melt when you see a Chihuahua in a tiny hat and saddle? Besides, look at how satisfied he seems. It's what he was born to wear.
Hello? Stuart Little?
Have you ever wondered if Stuart Little ever found another sentient mouse to be friends with? Sure, he had his human family and loved ones, but there are some things only a fellow rodent can relate to. The movie never solved that riddle, but he could hit this mousey up if he wanted since he has a landline they can talk through. Besides, we bet he'd appreciate the company.
We bet he has a phonebook and everything! It may seem old-school to you, but he probably prefers not having to carry a tiny cell everywhere. He has no pockets!
Everyone's a Little Bit Weird
The people you truly love are the ones you can get a bit weird around. That applies both to humans and other animals. Don't tell us you haven't seen your pets do dumb or bizarre things they never do when there's company around. It's because they trust you and don't mind showing you their crazy side. If you still have doubts about what we're saying, see if you don't find this cat relatable.
His eyes point to opposite sides, and that little tongue sticking out is incredibly cute. Don't worry, kitty. We won't tell anyone you're a little bit odd.
That's One Smart Puppy
Animals have this sixth sense that tells them when you're feeling down. That's why so many people talk wonders about how adopting a pet helped with their anxiety and depression. We see them prove it daily through the hundreds of adorable videos their grateful humans post online. Don't try to deny it. We know you watch every single one of them. This may not be a video, but it's just as adorable.
Dogs can tell when you need a bit of extra affection, and some are intelligent enough to know exactly what to do. She'll surely bring her human lots of adorable moments.
Just Two Cats in a Sink
Cats get into the wildest of places. How do they fit everywhere? Sometimes it feels like they're not made of flesh and bones but of hair and empty space. Besides, where one fits, two or three do as well. Aren't they so quirky? Hey, cat lovers, what are the oddest positions you've found your kitties in the morning when you wake? Is piling into the sink like this normal?
We have no idea if this is expected cat behavior or just an adorable custom these two have. They better not have clogged the drain, though.
The Most Excited Dog in the World
Think back to your childhood or your youth. You probably had a hero or two you would've given anything to meet. Did you know that dogs have people they admire too? Pay close attention to this because it might be the cutest thing you read in a while. This pup's favorite toy was a Santa plushie, so his owners thought they'd bring her to see the real deal.
No dog has ever been more excited to see a human —that isn't the one who feeds them— than this one. Meeting Santa was probably the highlight of her life.
A Mother's Love
Many people believe mama cats aren't very attached to their babies, but that's not true. After all, They are mammals, so caring for their young is instinctive. Sure, they tend to let go of them much quicker than human moms, but that's just how nature is. If you still have doubts about whether they love them or not, take a look at this super cute picture.
Is there anything cuter than a mama cat cuddling her baby? We're more dog people, but this still tugs at our heartstrings. They don't seem so cold now, do they?
Derp Alert!
Sometimes, our furry friends can be a bit clumsy or goofy, but that only makes us love them more, right? Sure, there are moments —like when you get the vet bill for that emergency visit you had to make because Sparky ate an entire sock— when you feel like screaming in frustration. However, you can't stay mad at them. Besides, they'll give you some fun times while the anesthesia wears off.
You can expect them to pull faces like this because they can't quite keep their eyes closed or their mouths shut. Then again, it could just be high on some catnip.
One Inspirational Pupper
Remember that we talked about how offices used to hang posters of puppies saying motivational phrases to keep their workers' spirit's up? Well, we found one! This little guy is supposed to make you believe that you can do anything, no matter how wild or impossible it seems. After all, he managed to become a panda bear when he wasn't even of the same animal family!
If a dog can go against its nature and become a whole other species, then the possibilities are endless for you too. However, we think the puppy's cuteness helped a lot.
